On 28th April 2014, Professor Wang Zhanpeng, together with about 20 postgraduates and doctoral students from Beijing Foreign Studies University, attended a seminar held by the visiting delegation of UK Parliament Cross-Party China Group in the British Embassy, Beijing. The UK Delegation consists of 6 members from the House of Commons of various parties, including the Labour Party and the Conservative Party. Chairman of the Group Richard Grey presided over the forum. During the meeting, UK MPs and BFSU lecturers and students had active interactions on topics such as China-Britain relationship, British Parliament and the UK electoral system, the Scottish Independence Referendum, UK general election of 2015, British social policies, and relations between Britain and the European Union. UK Parliament Cross-Party China Group is the second largest cross-party group of its kind in Britain. It consists of nearly 5 hundred members from both the House of Lords and the House of Commons.
